Last week I attended an anti texting and driving event put on by AT&T and yesterday I saw a 5 car wreck because someone was texting and driving.  I don’t know all the details yet but 3 of the cars were totaled and luckily I don’t think anyone was severly injured.   None the less texting and driving is a terrible idea.  I decided I was going to stop doing it after the event last week and I’ve caught myself EVERY single time I get into the car reaching for my phone.  Whether it’s to text or read an email it’s just a bad idea.  If you use your phone while driving and take out a kid or kill a family in a minivan you become a murderer.  It’s not an accident if you make that choice.  I’ve had a cell phone since 1997 and I can say with 100% accuracy I always look at my phone while driving, well not anymore.

I know this is all a bit harsh but come on people, just stop texting an driving.  It’s stupid and you can kill someone ruining not just their life but also their family and friends.
