Super Quick Samsung Galaxy S 3 Review

20120712-172751.jpg
So I got a chance to use the brand new Samsung Galaxy S 3 this week and I want to report what I like and dislike. For starters it’s nice on the eyes, it’s not the prettiest phone I’ve ever seen but hey, that’s hard to beat. Next is the feel in my hand. It’s nice again but not great. I don’t really enjoy the power/wake button on the side versus the top, it’s just a personal preference but it’s mine. Though I do really like having a physical home button. It makes me feel more comfortable with the device.

I love the screen, the battery life seems reasonable maybe even good. The camera seems pretty phenomenal and my wife liked the face unlock feature. Starting apps, flipping through screens and the general speed of the phone and AT&T’s network make it a joy to use.

The only thing I don’t like is an Android fault. When I get an email (and probably SMS as well) it doesn’t light up my lock screen and show the messages. Besides that I love the phone.

I chatted with someone in my office who just got the SGS3 and she told me she came from a 3 year old BlackBerry. She’s loving the phone and says it’s intuitive. Keep in mind this is a non techie so it means even more coming from her.

So to sum it up, I really like the phone, it’s the best Android device I’ve gotten to play with up to this point. It’s fast on AT&T’s 4G LTE and it’s really nice in the metallic blue color I got.

Transparency: This is just a review and unit that I’m returning today, I’M NOT KEEPING IT. AT&T in the past has fed me, clothed me and is taking me out for drinks at their world famous and well attended by bloggers as well as Hollywood celebs Mobile Review event. Side note, I helped plan it.
