I just got done listening to Dr. Paul Jacobs do a Q and A with the press at Qualcomm‘s yearly event called Uplinq in San Diego, California. He answered a range of questions from how is Qualcomm solving short battery life issues to “Should we expect some handsets from the company?” He was eloquent stating that battery life is a technology issue that is being resolved and should be solved shortly. His answer to the hardware questions was humorous, it was 1 word, “NO!”. Paul elaborated saying the company hadn’t done well with handsets in the past and is more likely to stick with chips.
I’ll have a lot more coverage through out the day and tomorrow as well. I’ll also try to get video’s up as soon as I can but it’s a slow process. If you have any questions I can get answers to at Uplinq just let me know.
For transparency sake I should tell you that Uplinq has given me a cool swag bag, free lunch, some carmel corn and a hotel room for the night.

Carmel corn, woo!
