Submersion Video of the Pantech Element

I’ve had the 4G AT&T Pantech Element for about 2 weeks now and it’s been interesting.  I’ve really enjoyed the Element when it works but it’s frozen up twice.  It’s my first experience with an Android tablet and I’ve been comparing it to an iPad which may not be fair.  They’re two totally different devices but still tablets.

Anyways, when I pulled it out of the box the first time I was astonished at how small it felt (compared to my iPad).  It was so much easier to hold with 1 hand then the iPad.  The screen was easy to see and it was a breeze to set up, like all Android devices are. I started downloading apps to my hearts content.  Anyone who says Android is missing apps isn’t looking at the big picture.  They’re nearly all there, at least all the apps I use.

Let’s get to the 2 points of this blog post.

1. The Pantech Element from AT&T is quite nice, the AT&T 4G is smoking fast, though it’s slowed down a few times when playing processor intensive games but that’s it.  Oh and it’s a PAIN to get the micro sim in and out, I had to use tweezers.  I like it a great deal as a whole.

2. Here’s the super unique thing about the Element.  It’s water proof.  Yes you read that correctly, I submersed it fully in my bathtub.  My girls even took a bath and I gave it to them to play with in there.  Once it’s wet the screen stops working for the most part but that’s ok, as long as the tablet doesn’t fry I’m happy.
